Who Benefits?
The Westlake Historical Society uses the money raised for the various projects we have ongoing. The Westlake Historical Society is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization in the State of Ohio.
What kind of Ducks are used in the race?
Only rubber ducks are used and are designed for racing.
How does it work?
We will drop rubber ducks into the pond. The first to reach the end of the course will be the winner. There will be other prizes also awarded.
What happens to the ducks afterwards?
We catch all the rubber ducks we launch and return them for the race next year.

It will be a family-friendly fun event.
There will be Refreshments, Door Prizes, and Silent Auction Baskets to bid on.
How much is it to adopt Ducks?
1 Duck/$5.00 or Six Ducks/$25.00
Can I adopt more than one duck?
Yes! You will be given the opportunity to purchase multiple ducks. See above.
How does this work?
Each adoption paper has a unique number. This is assigned randomly to a duck that is racing. You can adopt ducks by adopting online or by attending any Westlake Historical Society Event. Call 216-848-0680

Race Rules:
All ducks will set sail on Saturday October 3, 2026 at 1:00 PM. The race committee reserves the right to postpone or reschedule the event due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond the committee’s control.
The Westlake Historical Society will provide and maintain possession of all registered ducks.
Participants are not allowed to free or interfere with a duck once the race begins,
The Westlake Historical Society will place a serial number on each duck, and will use the serial number for tracking purposes.
You do not need to be present to win but we hope you are.
