Westlake Recreation Center

28955 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, Ohio
Duck Race begins at 1:00 p.m.

Join the Westlake Historical Society for one of our favorite family events of the year!

Hundreds of little rubber ducks will take to the pond, each hoping to cross the finish line first. Adopt a duck, cheer it on, enjoy our Silent Auction, and help support the programs and projects of the Westlake Historical Society.

You do not need to be present to win.

Adopt a Duck

Solo Duck — $5.00 each

Six Ducks — only $25.00

Each adopted duck is assigned a unique number. That number is matched to one of the rubber ducks entered in the race.

You may adopt as many ducks as you wish.

When adopting online, your duck number or numbers will be provided to you with your adoption information.

 What Will Be Happening?

Come spend some time with us before the ducks hit the water!

The afternoon will include refreshments, door prizes, Silent Auction baskets and, of course, the 2026 Duck Race.

Admission to watch the race is FREE, and there is plenty of free parking at the Westlake Recreation Center.

Are These Real Ducks?

No! These are specially numbered rubber racing ducks.

The Westlake Historical Society keeps possession of all of the racing ducks. After the race, every duck is collected from the pond and saved for future races.

How Does the Race Work?

Each adopted duck is assigned a number.

The ducks are released into the pond together, and the first ducks to reach the finish line determine the winners.

Prizes will be awarded immediately following the race.

❤️ Who Benefits?

Proceeds from the Duck Race help support the many programs, preservation projects, educational activities and community events of the Westlake Historical Society.

The Westlake Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Want to Help?

We would love to have volunteers!
