The Westlake Historical Society is pleased to announced the winner of our 2008 "Cutest Pet in Westlake Contest.................

The judging took place on July 20th at the Antique and Craft Show.

The Society appreciated all the entries and all of the pets were extremely cute!   

Rizzo is a female bulldog and is 1.5 years old. When she was a puppy she had pneumonia and could'nt be sold along with her brothers and sisters. After her recuperation, she was welcomed into the Janovsky family. Now she is a happy and healthy young lady. Her favorite activities include: ripping apart cardboard boxes and toys,attending Westlake co-ed softball games,playing in the snow(sledding), playing in the mud,chasing others and riding in golf carts. Plus, she never says no to a good butt scratch. Her dislikes include walking for long distances, being  alone and getting a bath. She is very friendly and smart, with a list of tricks including: sit, stay,speak, shake, spin around,crawl,roll over,balancing a tennis ball on her nose, and of course the famous bang trick(falling down dead after getting "shot") Lastly, she is very proud to be named the very first Cutest Pet in westlake and wants everyone to know she will strive toward world peace.
